About Us

Our Mission

The mission of Forsyth Robotics, Inc. (FRI) is to provide a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) opportunity to school-aged students in the community through participation in For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) programs. The team will be guided by the core values of FIRST (Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork, and Fun). It is our goal to create a positive environment and experience and build pride among the participants and team sponsors. This mission will be achieved through fundraising, mentorship, service projects, community involvement, and team spirit. Through financial support, we will provide both the necessities and the extras that will enable the program to compete with other top programs in the State of Georgia and the World.

Our Purpose

  • Advance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education through project‑based learning, building skills outside of the classroom, and exposing students to new technology.
  • Provide experience in design, manufacture, programming, project management, strategic thinking, marketing, outreach, grant writing, and budget management, working alongside professional engineers, programmers, and business leaders.
  • Offer an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom, by providing a group of mentors to guide the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) program(s).
  • Support the financial needs of one or more FIRST programs.  These annual program(s) will compete in local, state, and world competitions.
  • Seek sponsors from local and national businesses that will support the FIRST program(s) with financial and in-kind donations.
  • Encourage a safe and inclusive space to support participation in FIRST program(s).
